Kicking off the Fundraiser!

This marks the start of the official fundraising effort for Christopher. His mom lives in the US and has found some excellent doctors who are excited to help her son. As you can imagine, Christopher has lived with incredible ridicule all his life. He has risen above the challenges though and become an electrician to support himself and young family including a new baby. In Nigeria there are no doctors capable of helping Christopher. Neurofibromatosis is a complicated condition with many unknowns.

Dr. Brigitte Widemann from the National Institute of Health lives near Christopher's mom in Maryland and has volunteered to do the prelim work for Dr. McKinnon in Chicago.

Dr McKay McKinnon has been successful in negotiating a greatly reduced fee for Christopher at the hospital. Despite all these fabulous donations, there is much still needed. Christopher needs funds to get him to the US and about $80,000 for the rest of the medical expenses.
